Great quote from 1000 BC by a scribe in the Zhou Dynasty of China (he is describing the 'primitive' people of the time - from surrounding regions of China)
The people of those...regions...had all their several natures, which they could not be made to alter....they had their hair unbound, and tattoed their bodies. Some of them ate their food without its being cooked by fire.
Taken out of context, they could be talking about the staff at one of my favorite restaurants...
