Green Business = Green Pockets

Manitoba Harvest, makers of outstanding hemp products that many of you have tried, are also one of Canada's fastest growing companies. By 1,057% to be exact, according to Profit 100.

Via TreeHugger:

Profit publications have just confirmed that, announcing that the hemp foods company was the 58th fastest growing Canadian company in the past 5 years (based on revenue growth). Their fiscal growth was a staggering 1,057% from 2000-2005. Not bad given that it based on products which are grown free of pesticides and herbicides. And a portion of their line is also certified organic to boot, such as the hemp seed oil seen here, which is claimed to be “nature’s richest source of the Essential Fatty Acids (76%).” In this case it is made from 100% Certified organic, raw cold pressed hemp seed oil, and contains no additives or preservatives. 25 farmers, shareholders in the company grow their hemp on 5,000 acres of Canadian soil.

Green on the inside and outside. I love it. Always great to hear about raw companies doing well.

I love the Hemp Seed Oil! I just made a cacao drink with that and some coconut oil, banana, and cinnamon. It really adds some body to the drink. I'll even lick the measuring spoon.

Hemp oil and coconut oil combined are great for the formation of long chain omega 3 fatty acids, incredible for the nervous system, eyes, and brain. If you have been Vegetarian or Vegan for a while and find that you are kind of spacey/forgetful/easily distracted, you may have a deficiency in Omega 3.
