Magnetic Force: Natural styling wax for men

I prefer not using anything on my hair except a little coconut oil, but every once in a while I need some style power to keep my hair straight fly. I've tried the Crew Pomades and Aveda Waxes, but to be honest, they all had issues in some way or another. Most of styling waxes are un-natural and so they end up clogging your pores and even the Aveda products had some alcohol or chemical that made my forehead breakout. Other natural/organic styling gels I've found had great ingredients, but when it came to holding power, they totally failed.

What to do what to do?

About 2 months ago I found the Giovanni Natural Hair Care line and was amazed at 1) their ingredient quality (tons of organic stuff) and 2) its styling/holding ability. My forehead hasn't broken out either! Since then I've been totally pimping the product and telling all of my buddies about it. So far their success has been similar to mine.

If you are having similar issues with your styling wax or gel, I highly recommend check out the Giovanni line - specifically the Magnetic Force Styling Wax.

A lot of stores sell it online
, but you can also find it at almost all Whole Foods now too.

Here's to good hair days! Women, stay tuned for Sarma's hair tips!

Good green hair products are hit or miss sometimes.

As my hair grows longer, I need to use less product, but I still am a believer in washing and conditioning my hair, and a little product here and there.

Justin tried to use Aveda's hair gel, but had to give it up as it burned his scalp (probably all the alcohol in the gel).

He now loves the Jason hair gel, which has flax seeds as one of the ingredients!

Just my two cents:

The alcohols used in hair products is cetyl alcohol or ceteryl alcohol than that is a fatty alcohol NOT a drying alcohol. A fatty alcohol is used to bind liquids and creams together or hold two different weight substances.

This product, "Giovanni magnetic force" is still using alcohol emulsifiers but they are called different names. The ingredients Peg-40 and Stereath-20 are both alcohols. You dont recognize them because the name doesnt say flat out "alcohol".

If it works for you then fantastic, hair products are always fun to try out.

Just dont ask why or how I know geeky stuff like this.

I love it!

Here are the ingredient lists:

Other Ingredients:
Aqueous (Water) Extrcat of *Rosemary (Rosmarinus Officinalis) Oil, *Sage Leaf (Salvia Officinalis), * Clary (Salvia Sclarea), *Soybean Protein, Kukui, Peg-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Steareth-20, Glycerin (plant derived), Oleth-10 Phosphate, Otcyl Isononanoate, Mica, Titanium Dioxide, Sodium Hydroxymethylglycinate, Grapefruit Seed, Lastoferrin (Metalloprotein).

Not that natural. Not vegan either.

If you want something actually natural that works, try John Master's Hair Pomade or Bourbon Vanilla & Tangerine Hair Texturizer.
