The Future of Food
As the conscious food movement has grown, some big challenges have accompanied its success. Challenges such as meeting growth demands, organic vs local and the impact of food miles.
On February 27th, 2007 two leaders decided they wanted to facilitate and discuss some of these challenges in the open. Michael Pollan, author of The Omnivore's Dilemma, and John Mackey, CEO of Whole Foods, held their public conversation, titled Past, Present, and Future of Food, in Berkley, CA with an open audience.
