Hey Kristen Suzanne, do you have a website or something? I'm an athlete and I'm thinking of getting into raw bodybuilding.

Haha...thanks! Do you have experience in body building in the past? It'd be great to see some Raw get into athletics more. One thing I can say about Raw is that my strength and endurance increased when I went Raw. Cheers!

awesome, I'm actually a D1 athlete right now. And I've recently lost quite a bit of weight, and am much leaner I was starting to think that this could be a cool possibility. I'm glad to hear that your strength and endurance increased!

No doubt about it. For example, on my chest days, I frequently find myself doing more push-ups than the session before; able to push myself to new limits all the time. Keep me posted! I'd love to hear how you do.

Not go go off topic, but I've wanted to write this for some time now and I've got the chance at the moment. I'm not pointing any fingers, but I've noticed something; I read plenty of raw foodist blogs, which are well written, entertaining and full of information, like yours. However, I think many of these same bloggers, who list what they eat on a daily basis, eat far too much fruit. It seems as if 80% to 90% of what they eat is fruit, which completely overloads their system with sugar and artifically elavates their blood sugar; thereby ensuring a physical and emotional crash later on and stressing the pancreas out. I think we should take heed and remember to eat our raw food in balance with a equal amount of veggies and fruit, or, better yet, 80% raw veggies and 20% raw fruit during the day. SW

@SW
Not sure who you are talking about, but my diet is about 80% greens. Great point though.

I agree with having balance. I just listen to my body and eat based on what sounds good. During the summer, especially in AZ where it's very hot, my body craves very high water content foods such as watermelon. Sometimes I eat it for 2 of my meals. Or, sometimes I eat a lot of bananas and celery. Then, I have a great big salad for dinner with a delicious raw dressing. YUM!
For me it also depends on the time I have to prepare food as well as what's in my refrigerator :)
My body always brings me back to balance with different desires based on what I've been eating for the week prior.
I think people should do what works best for them, because everyone is a little different with their past dietary habits, how long they've been Raw, where they live, etc.
I know you're not referring to me because my blog has a highly nutritious green juice on it, my Moroccan Gazpacho recipe, and one post about watermelon.
Hope this helps :) Cheers!
