Flirting with Raw Food

I was on NaanSenseRadio this morning (thx Aparna) talking about the benefits of raw food and the one thing I forgot to mention was how one can start flirting with raw food.

I say flirting because even the concept of "getting started" with raw food seems like a little too much for most people.

So how do you start flirting with raw food? - Start with a morning green smoothie.

Your morning green smoothie will be the first thing you have. It creates an alkaline base in your stomach and gives you the minerals necessary to start your day off right.

Do this for 2-3 weeks and you'll start to notice the following:

  • You'll notice that the heavy breakfast filled with breads is starting to weigh you down
  • You'll notice that you'll have urges to include more fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet
  • You'll notice that your energy in the morning will be significantly higher compared to later in the day
  • You'll notice that the un-healthy foods don't taste the same way, you don't find the same enjoyment from them
