Anti Aging with Food

If you’re interested in living a long life there’s a good chance you’re interested in health. After all, why live a long life if most of your time will be spent sitting and watching from the sidelines. 

To stay in the Anti Aging action, having a healthy diet and lifestyle is such a key component that this week we will be featuring Anti Aging articles, tips and recipes to show you have to stay youthful, vibrant, energetic, not to mention a great sex life!  

When it comes to Anti Aging and Food, nothing stacks up like fresh, raw produce! With the abundance of vitamins, mineral, fiber and phytochemicals fruits and veggies pack a mean punch! No wonder raw foodies always look so young! 

Remember, that while genetics may have loaded the gun, your lifestyle pulls the trigger. You have a choice every time you sit down to a meal. Are you committed to health or are you making reservations for your wheelchair or digging your grave with your fork?


Blueberries have been found to contain memory boosting ability, all berries are high in antioxidants which fight free radicals that cause cell damage and inflammation. They are also high in Vit C which fights wrinkles. 


Spinach, along with all greens are high in lutein and zeathanthin that help protect against ultraviolet light. Greens are also high in Vit K that, among other things helps prevent dark circles under the eyes. (Dark circles can also signal a gluten intolerance)

Tomatoes, pink grapefruit and watermelon are high in antioxidants lycopene and quercetin and helps prevent cancer, cardiovascular disease. 

Omega Oil 3 and 6 help prevent inflammation. Good sources are flaxseed oil, chia seeds, walnuts, purselain and cod, halibut or trout, if you use fish.

Cruciferous veggies  like broccoli, brussel sprouts, cabbage, kale, bok choy, cauiflower have been shown to help prevent cancer. They also are powerful detoxifiers. 

Nuts and seeds contain high amounts of Vit E, B vit’s, iron and magnesium. Soaking nuts over night will remove the enzyme inhibitor which will help with digestion.

Water rich foods keep our bodies hydrated and keep our skin smooth. Try watermelon, celery, cucumber, apples and melon.


The spices ginger, turmeric, cocoa, cinnamon and cayenne are great anti oxidants and anti inflammatory agents. Dark chocolate thats at least 70% cacao is high in flavonoids. 

Enjoy eating an abundance of fresh, raw and organic foods knowing you are creating a lifetime of radiant health!


Creamy Raw Broccoli Soup


  • 2-3 cups water
  • 1 cup broccoli, chopped
  • 1/4 cup celery, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 tsp tarragon
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/4 cup cashews, soaked 
  • 1/4 avocado

 Blend in high-speed blender for best results. Blend until soup is nice and warm. Pour in a serving bowl and enjoy! 

Sweet Spinach Salad


  • 4-6 strawberries, quartered
  • 2 orange, segmented
  • 1 cup raspberries
  • ¼ cup walnuts, chopped

Place all on a bed of spinach or greens of your choice, drizzle with balsamic vinaigrette and oil. Enjoy!
