Cleansing Recipes and Avo-Smoothies!
We are beginning to see the start of Spring! The air smells fresh, the birds are singing, tiny buds are forming on the trees.....I love Spring! This is usually when I realize I've let myself gain a few pounds from not being outside and as active as I am in the Summer. This year in particular has been a huge change for me. Moving to Utah from Southern California has kept me inside much more due the the chilly temperatures of Winter AND out of my normal very active routine!
So, now is the time to think about doing something to drop a few pounds and cleanse our bodies to have a fresh "Spring" start!

Sunflower Fennel Joy
- 2 cups water
- ¼ cup fennel
- ½ cup sunflower sprouts
- ¼ cup cilantro
- ½ cup apple, chopped
- (or 1 small apple, chopped)
- ¼ avocado
- 2 Tbsp lemon juice
(Option: for a little more sweetness, add 1/4 banana)
- Blend for about 30-45 seconds.
Glorious Cleansing Greens
- 2 cups water
- 4 leaves, dandelion greens chopped
- 1/2 cup spinach, chopped
- 1/2 cup papaya, chopped
- 1/2 banana
- ¼ - ½ cup avocado
- 1 Tbsp lemon juice
- 1-2 dates chopped (optional)
- Blend 30-45 seconds or until smooth. Refreshing!
Just as cleansing our body is so important, so is cleansing other ares of our life. As you go through any cleansing practice this Spring, consider letting go of limiting beliefs, thought patterns, fears, doubts or sadness.
